Hello! So many great things have been going on and I haven't had a chance to share them with you all!
I've experienced so many wonderful moments this year; from meeting some wonderful new clients, to reuniting with old art friends and former students to add special unique touches to their art installations. The most incredible news is that I will be taking a bit of a hiatus. Baby #3 is coming soon in December!
I'd like to begin by thanking all the lovely brides and grooms that I've met this year. You've all made the second year of Decaled Inc. so incredible. I've been so honored to have been part of so many weddings, so many special days. I wish you all a blessed life full of joy and happiness. And to all that celebrated their first anniversaries - Congratulations! I look forward to hearing from you for more special occasions coming soon! :)
I've worked at and with some amazing venues and companies this year, from the Nassau County Museum of Art, Park Chateau (NJ), Jericho Terrace, the Oyster Bay Historical Society; the Islip Art Museum, The Garden City Hotel, Rising Tide Waterfront Solutions, The Watermill, Larkfield Manor, Platinum Affairs and Hannah Kroner School of Dance to name but a few. I've worked on exhibitions, storefronts, added special touches to boats and vans, created shirts and not to mention countless mirrors. It's been a pleasure working with you all.
As a full-time mama, working from home is incredible. I love creating while the little ones are asleep. (This is where I sometimes utilize my insomnia wisely.)
Most importantly it allows me the freedom of setting my own calendar.
I am grateful and thankful to have worked with so many wonderful people this year. It's an incredible feeling to know that Decaled Inc. has touched the lives of so many.
Wishing you all the Happiest of Thanksgivings and a wonderful Holiday Season!
I look forward to returning in April with some exciting new ideas and meeting some more delightful people in 2019!!
All the best,
Hello! My name is Eliz Alahverdian and I'm the owner of Decaled Inc. I'd like to welcome you to the base of operations. Home base is actually located at home in Garden City, New York, on the old grounds of Mitchel Air Force Base (Mitchel Field). My husband and I fell in love with this house when we first saw it a year and a half ago. Our 2 year old daughter did too. She ran around everywhere as we were taking a tour during the open house.
This is where I design and create. The beautiful light that shines through the windows is so incredible. It really does help with creativity. So next time you ask Decaled Inc. to take on a project for you...this is where it all happens!
Decaled Inc. started as a team of 2 friends and designers, Erica Corso and myself. Since it's inception we knew our mission was to design work that was a cut above. Erica went on to pursue an exciting new venture and since then I am working to keep our mission alive.
I am also a wife and proud mother of these two adorable little ones. My daughter is now 3.5 and my son is 10 months old. Their energy knows no bounds - from his crawling up the stairs to her ability to run up and down a football field. I wish I could catch up!
I owe everything to my husband. I left my full-time position as an art exhibitions director to pursue the dream of starting my own business. He is my biggest supporter and I will always be eternally grateful.
I so happy you took the time to read my first blog post. I look forward to adding updates and images of jobs during the days and weeks ahead.
Until then...Have a wonderful day!
All the best,
